How to use
pictrack helps families find the next theme to capture, save photos in a structured way, and look back later. This guide follows the app’s everyday flow.
1. Add a child profile
Start by adding the child whose records you want to keep. If you manage more than one child, the app can keep those records separate.
2. View themes on Home
Home surfaces Essential, Recommended, Snooze, and “Ordinary today” so families can notice the next moment worth keeping.
3. Choose a theme and capture
Choosing a theme before shooting helps later comparison feel more meaningful. Manual photo import is also available.
4. Look back in Calendar
When you want to revisit records by date, Calendar helps you browse what was captured and when.
5. Look back in Collections
When you want to revisit records by theme or category, Collections makes that easier.
6. Compare the same theme over time
Once enough photos exist for the same theme, Compare helps you place them side by side.
7. Use favorites, notes, and hide
Favorites help keep important records visible, notes add context, and hide removes selected photos from normal browsing.
8. Create a Growth Film
Growth Film lets the user manually choose photos and turn them into a short growth movie with text, order, timing, and BGM controls.
9. Share with family using an invite code
When you choose to share, invited viewers can browse approved records and use favorite, comment, and reaction actions.
10. Set reminders and notifications
If you want extra prompts, reminders can help with theme gaps, birthdays, and other moments worth keeping.
